Description

Fire Resistant Plasterboard or Fire Shield Plasterboard as it is known offers improved fire resistance. 12.5x900x1800mm Square Edge (1.62 M²) This smaller board size makes it ideal for DIY project and the lighter weight also makes this board size great for using to create a fire resistant ceiling.
The 12.5mm Knauf Fire Resistant plasterboard is specifically designed to protect structural aspects of buildings or passageways / corridors in the case of fire. For use as cladding component in partitions and lining systems. Ideal for receiving a plaster finish or for direct decoration.The board includes small quantities of glass fibre and vermiculite which maintain the integrity of the board at high temperatures.
Knauf Fire Resistant Plasterboard has a Thermal Conductivity figure of k= 0.24 W/mK.

Up to half an hours fire resistance can be achieved with a single layer of 12.5mm Knauf Fire Panel each side of a Metal stud partition
